Shelley got me through a rough time. She mainly helped me by validating me and helping me to process trauma. She was instrumental in me making it through one of the toughest times in my life.

Therapy helped me realize that I am good enough and that I am strong. A lot of what I was feeling after talking with Shelley made me realize having an alcoholic parent resulted into some trauma and low self esteem. She helped me realize it was not my fault and the little girl in me needed to heal.

I am christian and her approach served me well. At one point I didn't want to deal with something and just wanted EMDR. She helped me process it with the EMDR to reprogram my brain.

I like that she's cancelled very few sessions. She doesn't mind giving personal examples of similar situations in her own life.

She gives me one or two tools every week to put into practice. It’s tiny bites instead of tons of resources that would overwhelm and paralyze me. As a result I’ve been able to stack habits each week and I notice a HUGE difference in daily life with very small consistent changes.

I appreciated that she was always honest, we discussed things that I could do better and somethings that I could potentially be doing wrong. She always ended our sessions with positive comments about me that gave me self worth.

She was phenomenal. She was flexible and reliable and she was a consistent presence in my life to reassure me that I would survive the storm I was going through.

There were numerous tools Shelley gave me to help me when I get intrusive thoughts. We started off with breathing and hugging or tapping yourself to help relax. When I questioned why I had these thoughts and when I felt really low one of the tools she gave was, She had me visualize a safe “room” I chose a cave. She had me put myself in the room tell myself it going to be ok and if I was feeling really bad she had me leave that sad self in there.. she also introduced emdr to me. Shelley helped me tremendously she was perfect for me.

Four therapists later she was the most sucessful one in helping me with my trama.

I look forward to my weekly appointments. I have had therapists in the past but we only talked. This time with Shelley I am being taught skills. It’s made all the difference in my healing.

I just want to say thank you one more time for everything. Life is still difficult but I’m living a life closer to god and it gets better each day.
